This Czech carnival carousel project was built for a travelling operator, so transport and fast assembly mattered more than fixed-site rules. It is an example of how a double-decker is specified when the ride moves between events. The model is covered on our double decker carousel page.

Czech carnival carousel: what the operator ordered
- Client: Luna Park
- Order value: USD 100,150
- Scope: equipment supply with layout, capacity and documentation support
Location: Czech Republic. The project was delivered by DINIS as an equipment supply with layout, capacity and documentation support.
Transport, assembly and teardown
- Transport volume and assembly time decide how many events the ride can earn at in one season.
- The structure has to be split into transportable sections without weakening the platform.
- Power supply at fairgrounds varies, so the electrical specification had to be confirmed per event site.
What DINIS delivered to the travelling show
- Double-decker carousel
- Transport and assembly documentation
- Spare parts set agreed at order stage
Equipment list: what DINIS supplied to the travelling show
A travelling operator buys the same ride as a fixed park and then lives with the difference every week: transport, assembly and teardown.
- Double-decker carousel – a centrepiece ride with the seat count and presence that pays for the pitch.
- Transport-ready build – the structure splits into transportable sections, and the canopy and figures are protected for road travel.
- LED lighting package – bright enough for an evening fairground, and lower draw than the traditional lighting it replaces.
- Assembly and teardown guidance – the sequence the crew follows on every site, which is what keeps build time down.
- Spare parts and manuals – the wear parts and documentation a crew needs when the nearest factory is a container journey away.
How the travelling carousel was delivered
- Requirement confirmation – Country, site, visitor profile and equipment list were fixed in writing.
- Layout and configuration – Ride positions, capacity and the technical configuration were agreed before production.
- Production and pre-assembly – Fabrication with inspection records, then a factory test run.
- Packing and shipment – Packing list, container plan and shipping documents followed the agreed schedule.
- Delivery and installation support – Site guidance, installation support and handover documentation.
What changed after delivery
The operator gained a landmark ride that works as the visual centre of the fairground and can be photographed from a distance.
What travelling operators should specify
Decide the ride mix from the visitor profile and the operating routine, not from a single product price. The equipment list, the site conditions and the maintenance capacity have to match before the order is placed.
Questions travelling operators ask
Can the equipment be adapted to our site?
Layout, capacity and appearance are agreed per project. Site drawings and the target visitor profile are what the configuration is built from.
Who handles foundations and power supply?
Civil works, foundations and the power supply to the ride are normally separate scopes. The equipment package includes the drawings and specifications the site contractor needs.
What documentation comes with the equipment?
Operation and maintenance documentation, inspection records and the packing list are handed over with the delivery; installation support can be arranged separately.
