How to estimate your payback before you order

• Your ticket price. Observation wheels are normally ticketed separately from the gate.
• Your operating hours. Weekends and evenings carry most of the volume.
• Your daily fixed cost. Power, two staff and maintenance.

Example: if you sell 400 rides in a day at your own ticket price, one multiplication gives you the daily gross. Replace 400 with your own realistic figure and you have the start of a payback estimate, before you count the advertising value of a lit landmark.
