A fairground carousel for sale is a signage problem before it is a capacity problem. On a mixed site the ride has to be recognised from the far end of the ground, in daylight and after dark, and it has to earn its pitch on the visitors who are already walking past. That is why the decoration is specified with the ride rather than added after the first season.

Four items separate a fairground build from a platform sold on its own, and all four are visible to the visitor standing at the gate.
The part that reads at distance
The canopy shape and cornice are what a visitor recognises from the gate. They are themed with the figures rather than assembled from what is in stock.
The night-time signage
Wired into the build and designed with the theme, so the ride stays the brightest structure on the ground once the lights go down.
Chevaux, carriages or a themed set
Chevaux de levage, voitures, sea-life or seasonal figures. The set can be mixed on one platform and is matched to the pitch.
A controlled boarding line
A powder-coated fence gives the ride its boundary and keeps the queue in one line, which is what lets one operator run a busy evening.

The 16-seat platform is the one that fits a gap in the ground and a single container, and it is where most fairground operators start. Le 24 and 26-seat builds are the working middle: more riders per cycle on the same style of pitch, still one 40HQ container, and the one our fairground customers order most. Why decoration decides the takings on a fairground
Two fairground carousels with identical platforms can take very different money on the same night, and the difference is what the visitor can see from thirty metres away.
Night lighting is the first part of that. A carousel lit from the cornice and the canopy edge reads as an attraction from across a dark ground, while an unlit platform of the same size reads as a piece of machinery. The lighting is wired into the build, not fitted as an accessory, and it is designed with the theme so the figures stay the brightest thing on the ride.
The second part is the theme itself. A carousel that matches the season or the site – ocean figures for a seaside pitch, a Christmas set for a winter market, a vintage palette for a heritage ground – is photographed and shared, and the photographs are what sell the pitch to the next visitor. Bring us the direction before the figures are chosen; changing the set later costs more than choosing it once.
The third is the fence. A powder-coated fence gives the ride a boundary, keeps the queue in one line and lets the operator control boarding without extra staff. It is quoted with the ride so the price you compare is the price you install.
Moving and rebuilding a fairground carousel
Even a fixed pitch packs down once a season, and the sequence is worth knowing before the first container arrives.
- Load plan
The platform, canopy and figures split into transportable sections, and the packing list tells the crew which section comes out first at the other end.
- Ground and power on arrival

- Assemblée
Centre base and track, then the platform, the canopy and the cornice, then the figures and the lighting. The same order is followed at every pitch, which is what keeps the rebuild predictable.
- Pack-down and the spare list
Wearing parts, fasteners and lamps are cleaned, checked and packed with the ride rather than left in a depot. A failed lamp on opening night costs more than the spare it replaces.

Fairground carousel questions buyers ask
What is the difference from a traveling carousel?
Assembly and transport. A fixed pitch takes a permanent base and a fence; le carrousel de carnaval is built to be loaded and rebuilt through a season.
What does the price include?
Plate-forme, chiffres, baldaquin, corniche, lighting and the fence, quoted as one package. Fret, the base and local electrical work are confirmed separately.
Which size earns its pitch?
A 16-seat platform earns on a compact ground; le 24 and 26-seat builds are the working middle for a full-size fairground; the 36-seat ride is for the operator whose ground carries a landmark.
Can the theme be changed later?
Figures and carriages can be ordered separately, and lighting can be extended. Changing the canopy theme after production costs more, so the direction is agreed before the build starts.
What power does a fairground carousel need?
380 V three-phase on every build, from 5 kW on the 6 m platform to 8 kW installed on the 36-seat ride.
How long does assembly take on site?
Days rather than weeks on a fixed pitch, once the base is ready. The container plan and the assembly sequence are issued with the order.
